It depends on the type of grill and whether there are hot spots on parts of the grill’s surface.
Thick pork chops need to be grilled for a longer period time than thin pork chops. For thick pork chops sear each side on the hottest part of the grill for about two minutes. Then place them on a cooler spot on the grill, checking them about every two minutes, to bring the internal temperature up to 145 F.
Thin pork chops can be seared for two minutes each side as well. After searing, immediately move them to a cooler part of the grill and continually check the internal temperature every minute to avoid drying them out.

Pork chops need to be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 F. Use a digital thermometer to accurately check the internal temperature of any cooked meats.
