You can serve the egg salad as-is or in lettuce leaves for keto-friendly wraps. I highly recommend using Bibb lettuce – it’s a buttery, soft green that doesn’t snap when you bend it (unlike crisper greens), so you can wrap the egg salad tightly, keeping it from spilling out the sides.
The Best Mayonnaise for Keto
When selecting a mayonnaise to use in this recipe or any keto recipe, stay away from mayos with high-fructose corn syrup. If possible, avoid mayo with any added sugar, although that isn’t easy with most store-bought brands.
Keto-friendly mayonnaise without added sugar:
- Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil Mayo (my personal favorite!)
Keto-friendly mayonnaise with a small amount of added sugar:
- Chosen Foods Classic Keto Mayo (contains organic sugar)
- Sir Kensington’s Keto & Paleo Classic Mayonnaise (contains organic sugar)
- Hellman’s Gluten-Free Real Mayonnaise (contains sugar)
