Are you ready for fluffy Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies that are firm on the outside, soft on the inside, and a mere 1g net carbs per cookie?! I’ve been working hard to make an absolutely delicious keto cookie recipe for you that will satisfy all your chocolate chip cookie cravings.

I’ve tried a lot of Keto Cookies recipes that leave a bit to be desired, but this recipe comes out fantastic every time thanks to a specific combination of ingredients and a specific (but easy!) process. Follow it to the letter and you won’t be disappointed. I still can’t believe each cookie contains only 1g net carbs. I may or may not have been known to eat these low carb cookies for breakfast a few times… my excuse is that they’re high in fiber. 😉

Ingredients Needed for These Easy Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredient quantities are located in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Swerve Granular Sugar Replacement: If you’re looking for a sugar substitute, you’ll love Swerve Granular! It uses (natural) sugar alcohols which have zero effect on blood sugar, meaning you can subtract them from the net carb count. (That gives Swerve zero net carbs.) It also measures just like sugar, so there isn’t any guessing about how much to use. I purchase the 48 oz. bags because they are convenient and a much better price per ounce than the 12 oz. bags.

Swerve Brown Sugar Replacement: This brown sugar alternative truly has the taste and texture of the real thing!

TerraSouloconut Flour: I’ve tried several coconut flour brands, and TerraSoul is my favorite so far. Their coconut flour is light and fresh.

NOW Glucomannan (Konjac) Powder: (Optional) This net carb-free powder helps improve the texture of gluten-free baked goods, like these cookies. It helps give Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies a softer, lighter feel.

Additional ingredients:

  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Vanilla extract
  • Baking soda
  • Salt
  • Lily’s milk chocolate chips

Notes about Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies

How Do I Store Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies?

Store your cookies in an airtight container for 3-5 days. Alternatively, they will last for up to 2 weeks in the fridge, or 3-4 months in the freezer.

Is the Glucomannan (Konjac) Powder Necessary?

It’s not necessary to make the keto cookies, but it goes a long way in giving these cookies the ideal texture. It helps makes them softer and lighter inside with a nice, crisp outside.
Although it’s not quite the same, you can instead use 1 tsp xanthan gum if you have it on hand.

Can I Eat Cookies on the Keto Diet?

You can eat cookies on the keto diet as long as they are made with low carb and keto-friendly ingredients. You must use a substitute for wheat flour like almond or coconut flour, and you must use a low carb sweetener instead of sugar sweeteners. Using erythritol, monk fruit, or stevia to replace the sugar will reduce the heavy carbs and make the cookies keto-friendly.

Can I Eat Chocolate Chips on the Keto Diet?

You can eat chocolate chips on the keto diet when you use low carb chocolate chips that are sweetened with low carb ingredients. Using low carb keto-friendly chocolate chip brands will ensure you have significantly lower net carb counts when you use chocolate chips.

Which Chocolate Chips are Best for Baking Cookies on the Keto Diet?

There are many low carb chocolate chip brands available for you to purchase to bake cookies on the keto diet. However, because each has a different ingredient mix they each perform differently when used in baking.
Most of our cookie recipes use Lily’s Baking Chocolate Chips in our recipes, because they hold their shape under high temperatures and retain their chocolaty flavor.

  • Hi, I am interested in trying your recipe. May I ask why you used much more confectioners Swerve than Swerve brown? Does it help with consistency? I’m just curious as I know traditional cchip cookie recipes rely more on the brown sweetener. Thank you.

    • Hi Jenny! I tested out a few different mixtures and found I liked this one the best. However, I know all tastebuds are different, so feel free to change it up however you’d like as long as the total amount of Swerve (3/4 cup + 3 tbsp) stays the same. 🙂 Enjoy!

These Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies are very good and simple to make. I served them at a party and they were gone in a flash. I was not familiar with glucomannan but used it as instructed and was pleased with the texture of the cookie.

These are great Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies. The whole family loves them although only my daughter and I are doing Keto. I don’t think my husband and son even know they are a special Keto version. Thanks Jessica!

I need a homemade dessert to take to a small family gathering on Christmas. I made these Keto chocolate chip cookies before and did not have to think twice about making them for this occasion. They taste so good that everybody likes them and they are pretty easy to put together. I saw your link for the Keto butterscotch cookies made in a casserole pan and might try those too since one can never have enough cookies.

This recipe for Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies is great. My daughter likes to help me bake and It has become a tradition in my house to make something sweet on Sundays. The whole family likes these chocolate chip cookies. We have made them as individual cookies and also as one big casserole cookie. They are so good. They are just as good as the high carb chocolate chip cookies of my childhood. I like that I can eat these cookies on my Keto diet and also have a desert that the rest of the family enjoys.

Welcome! I’m Jessica.
