How to Make Chocolate-Covered Macadamia Nuts {Quick Overview}
This is just a quick overview of some of the steps involved in making the low carb chocolate macadamia nuts. For the recipe in detail, including exact measurements used at each step, scroll to the recipe card at the end of the post.
Add chocolate chips to a large, microwave-safe bowl. (Photo 1)
TIP: I used milk chocolate chips in this recipe, but you can also use white chocolate, dark chocolate, or semi-sweet depending on your preferences.
Microwave the chips until the chocolate is smooth. Following the instructions on the recipe card, make sure you stir thoroughly to distribute the heat to allow the chocolate to melt on its own as much as possible. (Photos 2 and 3)
Add macadamia nuts to the chocolate and stir until they’re fully coated. (Photo 4)
Using a fork, carefully remove each macadamia nut and place them on a large non-stick baking sheet, preferably one covered with a silicone baking mat. Leave enough space between each piece so they don’t stick together (use a second sheet if necessary). (Photo 5)
Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to harden.
TIP: Want to level up this recipe? Before placing your chocolate-covered macadamia nuts on the cookie sheet, roll them in cocoa powder and/or Swerve Confectioners.
How to Store These Macadamia Chocolate Nuts
These need to be stored in the fridge or freezer and will start to melt a bit in your fingers if they’re out too long, so only remove what you plan to eat immediately.

Chocolate-Covered Macadamia Nuts
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips I used Lily's milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup roasted, salted macadamia nuts
Instructions
- Add chocolate chips to a large, microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave the chocolate for 45 seconds at 50% power. Remove the bowl from the microwave and, using a spatula, thoroughly stir the chocolate several times. The goal is to distribute the heat so the chocolate melts on its own as much as possible.
- Return the bowl to the microwave and microwave it for 15 seconds at full power. Again, remove the bowl from the microwave and thoroughly stir the chocolate, distributing the heat and melting the chocolate more.
- It will be done by this point in most microwaves, but continue with 10-second increments if needed.
- Add macadamia nuts to the chocolate and stir until they’re fully coated.
- Using a fork, carefully remove each macadamia nut and place them on a large non-stick baking sheet, preferably one covered with a silicone baking mat. Leave enough space between each piece so they don’t stick together (use a second sheet if necessary).
- Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove from the fridge and enjoy! These Chocolate-Covered Macadamia Nuts need to be stored in the fridge or freezer and will start to melt a bit in your fingers if they're out too long, so only remove what you plan to eat immediately.
