Ingredients Needed to Make a Keto Mug Brownie

  • Almond flour
  • Swerve Confectioners
  • Cocoa powder, preferably Dutch processed
  • Baking powder
  • Butter
  • Unsweetened almond milk or water
  • Vanilla extract
  • Lily’s milk chocolate chips

 

How to Make This Easy Keto Brownie Mug {Quick Overview}

Gather your ingredients.

In a small bowl, mix all dry ingredients except chocolate chips. In a small microwave-safe mug or bowl, mix all wet ingredients.

Add dry ingredients to wet, then mix in 1 tsp keto chocolate chips.

Microwave for 45-60 seconds, until mixture has firmed. Do not overbake. Remove from microwave.

TIP: Be careful! The butter will be sizzling on top.

Let cool for 2 minutes before sprinkling the top with additional Swerve Confectioners and remaining 1 tsp keto chocolate chips.

Serve and enjoy immediately (if left too long, the brownie will harden). Also, you can top this wonderful brownie with our keto whipped cream or our keto chocolate cream cheese frosting. And don’t forget the keto coffee!

TIP: Because this recipe does not contain eggs, it’s okay to consume underbaked. For a fun alternative, microwave for only 30-45 seconds – this will give you warm brownie batter!

Why Use Dutch Processed Cocoa Powder?

I recommend using Dutch processed cocoa powder (sometimes referred to as Dutch process cocoa powder) because it has a more intense chocolate flavor (yum!) and is less bitter than traditional cocoa powder. It makes this keto mug brownie extra-delicious!

    I tried this recipe for Keto Mug Brownies. It is fantastic! I love chocolate and easy-to-make recipes and the mug brownie checked both boxes. The only hard part was waiting for it to cool when I took it out of the microwave! This was a wonderful treat at the end of a stressful work day.
