  • Olive oil
  • Ground turkey (93/7)
  • Garlic
  • Almond flour
  • Almond milk (unsweetened)
  • Chicken broth
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Swiss cheese
  • Frozen, chopped spinach, thawed
  • Green onions
  • Fresh lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper
  • Optional: red pepper flakes

How to Make This Keto Turkey Casserole {Quick Overview}

This is just a quick overview of some of the steps involved in making the low carb turkey casserole. For the recipe in detail, including exact measurements used at each step, scroll to the recipe card at the end of the post.

Preheat oven to 400 F and spray an 8″ x 8″ casserole dish with cooking spray.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook for 5-6 minutes or until turkey is cooked through, stirring to break up clumps. Add garlic and cook an extra 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Sprinkle turkey meat evenly with almond flour. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes.

Add almond milk and chicken broth to skillet. Stir to combine.

Add 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and all of Swiss cheese to skillet. Stir as cheese melts, to combine.

Add squeezed spinach, green onions, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.

Transfer mixture to casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese on top is melty.

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb 93/7 ground turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese divided
  • 1/2 cup diced Swiss cheese about 2 oz
  • 10 oz frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed of excess water
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 F.
  • Spray an 8”x8” baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook for 5-6 minutes or until turkey is cooked through, stirring to break up clumps. Add garlic and cook an extra 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
