Turkey Taco Salad
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp Keto Taco Seasoning
- 8 cups romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce chopped
- 1/3 cup diced red onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or taco blend cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup cubed avocado
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Taco Meat
- Preheat a large skillet to medium-high heat. When the skillet is hot, add crumbled ground turkey.
- Cook the turkey thoroughly, then reduce the heat to low. Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over the ground turkey, mix to combine, then allow to cook for another 1-2 minutes until the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Remove the skillet from heat and let the turkey taco meat cool for five minutes before assembling the taco salad.
Step 2: Make the Taco Salad
- Create the salad using all the ingredients. You can either serve the salad with the ingredients separated as shown in the photos or mix the ingredients so it resembles the inside of a taco.
