Tip 1: Some people use standard hot sauce in their wings sauce instead of Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce. Don’t be fooled – these aren’t the same thing! Buffalo sauce contains added ingredients and butter flavoring to give a much more enhanced buffalo wings flavor. Go for the good stuff if you can. 🙂

✨ Tip 2: Wings are technically done when they reach an internal temperature of 165 F, but they will taste best when heated to the 180 F to 200 F range.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken wings bone-in and skin-on

Instructions

  • If an option on your air fryer, preheat air fryer to 360 F. (If not, turn air fryer on for 2-3 minutes at 360 F prior to placing the wings into the basket.)
  • Place the wings into the basket of the air fryer, evenly spaced. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you will likely need to work in batches. Cook for 12 minutes.
  • Use tongs to flip the wings over and cook for an additional 12 minutes.
  • Increase air fryer temperature to 390 F and air fry wings for additional 6 minutes, flipping them at the 3-minute mark.
  • When the wings are almost done cooking, combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and mix well to combine.
  • Using a meat thermometer, check the internal temperature to ensure a temperature of at least 165 F. The wings are technically “done” at this point, but they will taste best in the 180 F-200 F range. If needed, cook for an additional 2-5 minutes.
  • Remove wings from the air fryer, toss them evenly in the sauce, then serve warm.
