Can we all agree that coffee can be kind of beautiful? Especially when it’s blended with all sorts of goodies that give it a beautiful color and it’s served in a pretty cup. (Pretty straw + whipped cream optional but highly recommended.)

It’s even more beautiful when you’re hit with the first surge of that awesome caffeine buzz. People like to talk about “beer goggles”… I guess I get “coffee goggles.” Hah! 😉

But in all seriousness, this keto iced coffee is quite a pretty coffee to assemble. It’s all blended in the photo up there, but when you make it (as you’ll see in the photos below), there is a fun layered effect that starts with keto sweetened condensed milk (yes, really! and it’s a breeze to make), then unsweetened vanilla coconut milk, then coffee. Layer it, add your ice, and give it a stir.

This keto iced coffee recipe borrows from the idea of Vietnamese iced coffee (sweetened condensed milk + strong coffee + ice), but I decided to add vanilla coconut milk to give the drink a bit of a different flavor. However, if you want to omit the coconut milk and make yourself a Vietnamese keto iced coffee, go for it!

Keto Iced Coffee Ingredients

Death Wish Coffee

This is my FAVORITE coffee because it’s super-caffeinated (the company bills it as “The World’s Strongest Coffee“), meaning a little goes a long way. I highly recommend using it in this recipe because it will give you a caffeine kick without diluting the coconutty sweetness too much.

If you don’t use Death Wish Coffee, you can use regular coffee; however, you will need to use more to get the same amount of caffeine.

Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk

Yes, you can make this at home and it’s easy to do!

Unsweetened Vanilla Coconut Milk

You’ll use the kind from the carton, not from the can. You can also use unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

Add Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk

If you don’t have Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk yet, go make yourself a batch and come right back so you’ll have all of your ingredients ready.

And grab some ice from the freezer too…

Start by adding the keto sweetened condensed milk… then the unsweetened vanilla coconut milk…

and end with your coffee. Optionally, add 1 tbsp MCT oil for extra healthy fats. How can you not want a glass of this?! Add your desired amount of ice, mix, and drink!

(Blogger confession: In an effort to make a fun layered photo, I added more than 4 oz. coffee for the photo above. If you use Death Wish Coffee, your coffee layer will be much thinner.)

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some coffee. Enjoy!

Prep Time: 1 minute

Ingredients

  • 4 oz brewed Death Wish Coffee, chilled (or 6-8 oz brewed regular coffee, chilled; see notes)
  • 2 tbsp Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla coconut milk (this is the coconut milk that comes in a jug in the refrigerated section, not in a can)
  • 1 tbsp MCT oil optional
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Pour Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk into a glass.
  • Pour in coconut milk.
  • Pour in coffee.
  • Add desired number of ice cubes.
  • Stir to combine.

Notes

Important note about the caffeine content: According to Death Wish Coffee’s FAQ, there are 54.2 mg caffeine per ounce. A typical Dunkin’ Donuts coffee has 12.7 mg per ounce, and a Starbucks coffee has 20.6 mg per ounce. This recipe calls for 4 oz, giving you about 217 mg caffeine. If that is too much caffeine for you, use less coffee. (Alternatively, you can use 6-8 ounces of regular coffee, although that will give the drink a stronger coffee taste.)
If you don’t consume dairy, use nutpods Unsweetened Dairy-Free Creamer instead of the heavy whipping cream.
