In a large bowl, thoroughly combine all ingredients. Do not overmix.
Onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil, add meatloaf mixture and form into an 8” x 4” loaf shape of even thickness.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Remove meatloaf from oven, brush on topping, return to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, until meat thermometer shows that the internal temperature has reached at least 165 F. If it hasn’t, return to the oven for 5-minute increments.
Optionally broil meatloaf for 1 minute for a crispier outside.
Notes
Ground beef with higher fat content (like 80/20 or 70/30) will leak some fat into the pan. That won't affect the flavor, but if you would prefer it not to happen (or happen less), use leaner ground beef.
