Form into four patties of 6 oz each. Using the back of a spoon, place an indent in the middle of each patty to keep the patty from “puffing up” during grilling.
Place the patties directly over the flame on a pre-heated grill and grill on each side for 4-6 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches a safe 160 F.
Top with slices of cheese if desired and grill until melted.
