  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, vanilla extract, and flavor drops.
  • Add half of the Swerve Confectioners and cream together again.
  • Add cream cheese. Cream together.
  • Add remaining Swerve Confectioners and cream together one last time.
  • Your frosting should be thick and fluffy now. Add food coloring for fun or enjoy as-is!


How to Store: In the fridge. Technically, it should last as long as your cream cheese or butter expiration date, but I usually don't store it any longer than two weeks.

Salted or Unsalted Butter? I prefer the taste of salted butter in this recipe, but you can do any of the following:
  • Use unsalted butter
  • Use unsalted butter and add salt to taste
  • Use salted butter

For a Sweeter or Firmer Frosting: Traditional cream cheese frosting calls for a LOT of powdered sugar. Many recipes with this amount of butter and cream cheese call for two, or even FOUR, cups of powdered sugar. Personally, I think that's sweetness overload, but if you want that level of sweetness, or if you want something a bit firmer to pipe onto keto sweets, you can increase the Swerve Confectioners to your desired sweetness/thickness. It will add zero net carbs since sugar alcohols are not included in the net carb count.
